Morning: Departure and Scenic Drive

Depart from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha in the morning. Enjoy a scenic drive through local villages, dry savannahs, and banana farms. The road turns off into a dusty track before reaching the lush oasis.

Highlights en route:

• Views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting)
• Chagga and Maasai village life
• Baobab and acacia trees

Arrive at Chemka around late morning. Take time to relax in the warm, clear spring water under the shade of fig trees. There’s a rope swing for adventurous swimmers, fish that nibble gently at your feet, and quiet spots for relaxing.

• Foot massage by natural fish
• Sunbathing and relaxing

Optional: Enjoy freshly prepared local food and drinks from nearby vendors.

After a few hours of fun and relaxation, prepare for the return journey to Moshi or Arusha. You’ll arrive back in the late afternoon.
